The season
The National Weather Service in Miami puts the median start of South Florida's wet season at May 21 and its end at October 17, about 152 days that bring 69 percent of the year's rain at Miami International Airport. The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30. The dry months in between are the ones most sessions are booked in.
Summer is still workable: wet-season storms are typically afternoon events, so a session held early in the morning usually misses them. If the weather makes the location unusable, the session moves to a new date at no charge.

A City of Miami permit does not cover Miami Beach or Coral Gables, and a Miami Beach permit does not cover a county park, so a session that moves between two places may cross two sets of rules.
