In short
Graduation photos in Savannah starts at $295: 60 min on location with a photographer who works in Savannah, and 30 edited photos delivered to a private gallery within 5 business days.
Why choose Graduation photos in Savannah?
Graduation photos in Savannah are a one-hour cap-and-gown session at two campus locations, priced from $295 with 30 retouched photographs of the graduate alone, with family and with friends. Savannah has two very different campuses to photograph. Savannah State University is a single campus on the southeast side of the city, while SCAD has no enclosed campus at all: its buildings sit along the historic-district squares, so a SCAD graduate’s campus frames are also the city’s best-known streets.
Worth knowing about Savannah
Savannah State University holds its fall 2026 commencement on December 11 at 1pm in Enmarket Arena, with a limit of fifteen ticketed guests per graduate and a ceremony of about two hours. The arena floor is open only to media holding a pass from the university, so a private photographer covers the graduate outside the ceremony — on campus in the days before, or outside the arena afterwards.
What does the session in Savannah look like?
- Savannah State University campus
- The graduate’s own buildings and green, photographed in the days before the ceremony, when family who traveled in can join the frame.
- SCAD buildings on the historic-district squares
- For a SCAD graduate the school and the squares are the same place, so one walk covers the building where the degree was earned and the oaks outside it.
- Forsyth Park
- The fountain for the cap-toss frame with a friend group, at the south end of the district most SCAD students cross daily.

FAQ — Graduation photos in Savannah
Can a private photographer shoot inside the Savannah State commencement?
Not on the floor. Savannah State University asks anyone who plans to be on the Enmarket Arena floor to request a media pass, and every guest over the age of two needs a ticket from the graduate’s allocation of fifteen. A Savannah State graduation session is therefore photographed on campus beforehand or outside Enmarket Arena after the two-hour ceremony.
When should Savannah State December graduates book their photos?
In the two weeks before December 11, 2026, when Savannah State University holds its fall commencement at 1pm in Enmarket Arena. Early December light in Savannah is low and soft through the afternoon, and a campus session before the ceremony leaves the day itself free for family, the alumni pinning and the ceremony.
